Please help & answer my questions about polymer clay, Im new to this and i want to make jewelry and stuff...?

I bought a bunch of polymer clay and everything i need to make jewelry with it and some clay tools.
Should i buy a toaster oven as well, or do i use my stove?
What do i cook the clay on? foil? a pan? someone told me paper? or a tile in the toaster oven? a bead rack? what is best?
and how long do i cook it for and at what temp? id be making mostly small charms and beads.
do i put the metal jewelry pieces into the clay before or after i cook it?

please help me, answer as much as you can, i really want to start doing this but i don't know the best ways to do it and i don't want to overcook it or ruin my stove or anything.

thank you ^_^

I think you should purchase some instructional books. You should be able to where you bought the materials and supplies.
