Good items to bake with S.Sculpey Polymer Clay?

I would like to make a gift for my dearest friend and i love to sculpt with clay, so i figured a handmade gift would be the best option. The piece i'm thinking of requires the animal i plan to create to be placed inside [...]

can you buy FIMO clay at walmart or target?

or do i ahve to go to an arts and crafts store?

I don't know where you live but here the best selection is at Michael's, Art Supply Warehouse,
Some Walmarts might have it but not much or a big selection. I've never seen it at Target.

I want to buy the best book availabe on making polymer clay canes.?

I'm not interested in any stamping, inking or powdering effects. I'm not making beads. It's okay if they're in the book but my primary concern is good clear instructions on making canes. Thanks.
